How Much Do You Think This Claim Will Be? Every claim is different and once the insurance company has made the decision on coverage you will be provided with a scope of the work along with the cost. It is important to note that some things are not usually covered by insurance such as code upgrades. Any costs not covered by the insurance company are the responsibility of the homeowner.
Why Do I Have To Pay The Deductible? Your insurance deductible is a pre-determined amount agreed upon by you and your insurance company when you purchase your policy. The adjuster often directs restoration contractors to collect the deductible. It is due when a loss occurs and your coverage has been confirmed.
How Long Will This Drying Equipment Be Here? We are usually able to dry structures in 3-4 days, though some jobs require more time. It is important to keep the equipment running as much as possible to expedite the drying process and discourage additional damage associated with building materials being wet for extended periods of time.
The dry-out portion of my claim is done – now what happens? As soon as we respond to your emergency situation we are already preparing the estimate and scope of work to be done to return your home to its pre-loss condition. Often sub trades are involved such as flooring installers, cabinetry carpenters and electricians. We have to allow sub trades time to prepare their estimates and have them submitted to us. Once our estimate is prepare we send it to your insurance adjuster. They must follow their company protocols before giving the final approval for us to go ahead with the work. Once our estimate has been submitted we must wait for direction from the adjuster before we may proceed with the restoration process.
How is “Smoke Odor/Damage Removed” Smoke odor is removed from your home using extensive cleaning methods, Indoor Air Manipulation and Control, High Efficient Particle Aeration (HEPA), as well as Ozone Treatment are all used.
